Wed. Sept. 17 Erik's Ride
Steve will not be able to ride and I am on taxi duty for the kids, so you guys are on your own. The weather looks like it is going to be great so have fun. If you call me at the shop and let me know if you are coming I will post how many are going to ride. 292-0024.
Wed. Sept. 9th Erik's Ride
Steve is going to ride at 5:45pm. His planned route is the Genoa loop (same as last week's ride). Hopefully I (marty) will make it, but I need to get someone to take my daughter to gymnastics at 5:30. We will be riding our road bikes. Hope to see you there. :)
Wed. Sept. 3 Erik's unofficial group ride

For this weeks ride there will be two groups. One group (with Marty) will be riding cross bikes on the Douglas horse trail and the other group (with Steve) will be riding on the road as usual. For those that are going on the road I suggest doing the West #1 route from the list of Wed. night routes at the right of this post. We can all roll out together and split off at Douglas. Lastly, since this is an unofficial Erik's group ride, we can meet at 5:45 and depart at 6:00. Hope to see everyone. :)
For anyone who is interested in one more long ride to test your fitness, there will be a group of riders from Rochester going to the Jesse James ride this weekend. The plan is to meet up in Northfield and depart from the school (at the flagpole) at 8:00am sharp.
They are planning on doing the 100 mile loop, but I think you can split off at several points.
Wed. Aug. 27th Erik's Ride
This is the last "official" Erik's Wed. night group ride, but I am hoping to transition into a Wed. night group cyclocross training/technique ride. Next week I will post the proposed cross route so get ready to have some fun!!!
Wed. Aug. 20th Erik's Ride
Daylight is diminishing so our routes will be getting shorter, as you can see from the map below. We are heading towards Rock Dell because the winds are going to be out of the south. This route can be followed either way, but I think it would be best to head to Douglas first so other riders can meet us on the trail.
Wed. Aug. 13th Erik's Ride
Another reminder that you need to use firefox or netscape to view the maps. Also great job last week for being ready to go at 5:45pm. The route for this week will take us to P.I. on 3 then to 11. South to 5, east on 75th which will take us down Genoa, Douglas, and back on the trail.. Should be a fun route.
Tom W.
Our friend Tom W. has had a motorcycle accident. Doctors have operated twice to repair a shattered tibia bone and as soon as the swelling goes down he will be having another operation. He will not be able to put weight on his leg for 3 months. As you can see Tom is in a very tough situation. Please say a prayer for him and his family.
Explorer problems.
It looks like Internet Explorer is having difficulties opening the maps, so you will have to use Netscape or Firefox to view the maps.
Wed. Aug. 6th Erik's Ride
Sunset is at 8:26pm so our departure time will be a firm 5:45pm. Also, the route is very hilly, so let's have some fun helping each other make it to the top of every mountain. I know several of you guys have some motivational phrases to get my @$$ going.
Wed. July 30th Erik's Ride
For the remaining rides of the summer I would like everyone to focus on a few points.
1. Let's ride together as a group. This means regrouping after town sprints, hills, or fast flat sections.
2. We need to be careful crossing major roads.(Only cross the road if you are sure that everyone behind you can make it across safely.)
3. We all need to watch our pace. This means riding within the reasonable physical limits of group.(Please don't push the pace so we get strung out and if riders fall off the pace I will ride with them and let the remaining group go ahead.)
4. For obvious reasons, do not sprint for town signs if there is oncoming traffic.
5. Remember that this is a group ride and not a race. I think all of us are riding for the same reason, which is to have fun and get a good workout.
6. Please feel free to communicate any other points which will make for a fun and safe ride.
That being said, let's have some fun with this week's ride!

July 23 Erik's Ride
This is the second attempt at mapping out a ride for this week. Hopefully it will be ok. Thanks again Jim.
Wed. July 16 Erik's "Chipotle" Ride
Chipotle Mexican Grill has offered to give us free food after our ride. I have planned a flatter route so we can get back in time to enjoy a big burrito.
Wed. June 25 ride
Because the winds are out of the south I am suggesting this new route for tonight.
Wed. June 25th Erik's Ride
This route is almost like the North route #2 with a few changes at the start and at the finish.
Wed. June 18 Ride
Great ride guys!!! We had Tom, Todd, Al, Don, Christi, Jeff, Steve, Steve G, Jim, Pat, Scott, Marty, Chris, and Paul on the ride tonight.

We did the P-R-P backwards with a few minor modifications to the mapped out route.
